A "cure" is found for the mutants' super human powers, an opportunity to give up their "curse" and become normal members of society. Unsurprisingly Magneto and his gang are pretty unimpressed by the offer and, after a tragic clash with the X-Men, a war between mutant and man for control of the planet seems inevitable. The last in the trilogy, 'X-Men 3' is a blemishless CGI extravaganza, never more than five minutes passing between each beautifully rendered action set piece; that the script and, indeed, story leave a considerable amount to be desired is unfortunate, but hell, it was never the most believable of concepts in the first place.
