Chris Gardner's life is not going great, he's having difficulty holding down his sales job, his wife leaves him and he and his young son are evicted from their apartment. Based on a true story 'The Pursuit Of Happyness' is about one man's inspirational struggle, through single fatherhood and homelessness, in his successful shot at the American Dream, making big bucks, and, as you may guess from the pretty substantial clue in the title, is a tear-jerking triumph in the face of adversity movie. 'The Pursuit Of Happyness' is saved from being drowned in its own mawkishness by a performance of quality from the surprisingly subdued Will Smith.
