Katrina, an attractive out of control 19-year-old with no sense of the boundaries of acceptable behaviour, is the key character in 'Suburban Mayhem'. Born to be a casualty, abandoned by her junkie teenage mum, raised by a weak father and with an older brother a convicted killer, Katrina, already an uncaring mother, manipulates and spits out all those around her. She needs the dosh to pay for her brother's hopeless appeal and Dad's finally not going to give her everything she wants, but he does own the house. Kids - who'd have them, they'll just spit in your face and chop you up with an axe, or, if female, manipulate their dumb male mates to do the dirty work for them. Welcome to youth culture. This is a wonderfully funny satire on the collapse of teenage morality and the failure of modern parenting to cope in a fast changing world. Excellent.
