Widower Ray takes his troubled teenage son on a camping trip in the hope of re-bonding. The men's uncomfortable silence is cut short when they save two men from the river, one an FBI agent the other his prisoner, assassin for hire, Frank Cardin. From here on in The Contract turns into a wilderness chase movie as the group are relentlessly hunted down by Frank's fellow mercenaries. Little originality but an efficient thriller nonetheless.
