Sonny is a talented artist, who's not getting the breaks he needs, that is until Terpsichore, the muse of dance, arrives through a portal, a local mural near the town beach, to inspire him. Instead of just kicking his ass into gear to put together a dance show, largely a show piece for the multi-talented Newton John, she falls in love with him, resulting in her being recalled through the portal, hotly pursued by Sonny, prior to engaging in an ethical debate with a disapproving Zeus and Mnemosyne about inter-muse/human relationships... but this is a song and dance movie and should be watched as such.
