Review
Following a violent thunderstorm, artist David Drayton and a small town community, all trapped in the local supermarket, come under vicious attack from creatures prowling in a thick and unnatural mist. Local rumours point to an army experiment gone awry at a nearby top-secret base, but as the locals break off into increasingly murderous factions the ravenous monsters are in danger of taking a back seat to the carnage. Mist is a superior adaptation of a Stephen King horror thanks in large part to the direction of Frank Darabont (The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption) and while the ending lasts a few more minutes than it should, the final denouement is a classy body blow.
