The four siblings, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy, are once again pulled back into the land of Narnia, where a thousand years have passed since their last adventure. The creatures of Narnia are under threat from an evil king who plans to destroy them while also keeping the rightful heir to the throne, Prince Caspian, from bringing harmony back to the magical world. Like the first film adaptation of CS Lewis' trilogy this is an overly long and rather wooden affair, perhaps hamstrung by remaining too close to the cosy 1950s middle-class aspirations of the books. Lots of rip roaring antics though, so anyone between six and twelve should be happy enough.
