Americans Roy and Jessie have just finished a volunteer stint in China and decide that rather than fly home they'll catch the Trans-Siberia Express; a final adventure and perhaps a last chance to fix their ailing relationship. When the two meet charismatic Spaniard Carlos and his girlfriend Abby it would seem they have found the perfect travelling companions, but (as is so often the way) all is not as it seems and when a Russian narcotics officer also befriends the naïve couple what began as a final carefree fling descends into a murderous game of cat and mouse. From the director of ‘The Machinist', 'Transsiberian' is an engrossing thriller, a tad implausible maybe, but visually atmospheric, and once it gets going, pretty relentless.
