A Hollywood action star whose career is on the skids is persuaded by a sleazy agent into playing King Lear at Stratford, unaware it's not Stratford-Upon-Avon and that his fellow thesps aren't the RSC but members of the local amateur dramatics society. A good natured, nicely performed and utterly generic British comedy drama starring Burt Reynolds.
