16-year-old Darren goes with his mate Steve to a circus show, but, having been intrigued by a Mr Crepsley performing stunts with a poisonous spider, he finds himself drawn into an underworld of freaks and vampires, including an old war between Vampires who do not kill their victims and those that do.
