Butch, Davis and Angel are new arrivals at a young offender’s institute in Montana. They have never met before but soon realize that their only hope for reaching the other side of their sentences is if they watch each others’ backs. Unfortunately friendship will only get the lads so far in an environment where the long-term inmates have built a rigid power structure based on fear and the guards use the prisoners to let out their own frustrations. Touted as a ‘Scum’ for the 21st Century this is a brutal, impassioned, occasionally exploitative prison drama.
