Hudson suffers from serious anxiety attacks. Compound that with a mid-life crisis, psycho-analysts who are easily as damaged as he is and the arrival of the girl of his dreams and the scene is set for a full on breakdown.
'Numb' is nicely performed and there are some dryly witty moments, but it’s difficult to shake the feeling that its main protagonist is simply a navel gazing hypochondriac and as result it’s difficult to empathise with, or care about, the character.
