This is a talking heads style documentary, consisting of interviews with a range of his portrait subjects. Their anecdotes and insights into his character gather to create an (albeit vague) portrait of the artist. Friends, relatives and lovers talk at length about the effect he had on their lives, and their feelings regarding his portrayals of them. While there's little in the way of biographical information, it remains the only documentary available on Lucian Freud and it's worth watching to glean what you can about the elusive artist.
