Every night the sadistic, tasteless thief dines in the most extravagant restaurant, whilst the wife meets the lover in the "bathroom". A savage indictment of 1980s Britain (champagne louts) and a gastronomic nightmare amongst a lavish set with camerawork to match. This film has a profound impact.
