The lyrical and meandering autobiography of Norman Maclean and his brother Paul, as they grow up in the wilds of Montana and share their fathers passion for fly-fishing. The fishing comes to symbolise the diverging lives of the two boys and we are left with a moving and nostalgic ramble.
