Mike Myers, in a quirky underrated comedy, as Charlie, a likeable chap with a commitment aversion, who falls head overall for Harriet the butcher's gorgeous assistant. Unfortunately, being a paranoid, he convinces himself she's a serial axe-murderer. The crass Scots jokes are irresistible, Alan Arkin's cameo as a mild-mannered police chief is sheer perfection and the cultish references to Beat poetry should please slumming hipsters. Hilarious.
