Excellent sci-fi adventure from the masterful Carpenter. Bridges is an alien explorer who lands on Earth by mistake, models himself on a woman's dead husband and enlists her help to escape from pursuing authorities and rendezvous with a spacecraft on the other side of the country. Needless to say they fall in love, very un-John Carpenter.
