Sluizer, director of the original 'Vanishing', returns with this enigmatic drama about a previously wealthy Czech nobleman, Baron Utz, living out his last days in Prague. In the past Utz has travelled to the West to enlarge his collection, but he can never defect as that would involve abandoning his life's work. As he ages both the commie state and art collectors are after his greatest passion, a priceless collection of Meissen porcelain. This is his biopic, superbly done.
