Review
A veritable wonder-bodice-ripper, with the smouldering Alex Kingston as Moll. Born of gypsies, the shameless hussy knows that a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do to get on in life and, boy, does she do it! Three cheers to Granada TV for their no-holds-barred approach to Daniel Defoe's novel, whose full title is "The Fortunes and Misfortunes of the Famous Moll Flanders, Etc. Who was born in Newgate, and during a life of continu'd Variety for Threescore Years, besides her Childhood, was Twelve Year a Whore, five times a Wife (whereof once to her own brother), Twelve Year a Thief, Eight Year a Transported Felon in Virginia, at last grew Rich, liv'd Honest and died a Penitent. Written from her own Memorandums"........and as long as you have an open mind about sex, nudity and immoral behavior, then this is a cracker.
