Three brave British soldiers brave the North West Frontier, that's that bit of Pakistan always in the news for its religious primitiveness, love of tradition, patriarchy and guns, and three-handedly put down a rebellion by those dastardly murderous Thugees. A great Hollywood action adventure film glorifying death, empire and the white man, and featuring elephants, Dougie Fairbanks, Bristol-born Cary Grant and Victor McLaglen all keeping the natives at bay. A sort of eastern Western, with lots of heroics and fighting, and based on a poem by Rudyard Kipling. May the sun never set!!!
