A directorial debut from Dennis Quaid, who plays Jim, a hard-as-nails Montana dad. Orphaned at a young age, Jim's learnt to take everything that life has to throw at him on the chin. So when his own son is paralysed in a tragic accident, he simply doesn't posess the compassion and tenderness the lad so badly needs, and suddenly he faces the toughest test of his life.
