Nick Broomfield directs and stars in this notorious documentary supposedly about the grunge couple Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. The film was withdrawn from the Sundance Film Festival by Courtney's lawyers and famously features footage of Broomfield publicly insulting Love at a Free Speech conference. Despite the controversy surrounding the film it reveals nothing new about Kurt's death or his unusual relationship with Love. It does shed light on Nick Broomfield's bald patch which has a habit of getting in the way of the camera lens. In the end the film becomes a documentary about Nick Broomfield and his inability to get people talking. Pompous twaddle or intelligent filmmaking?
