Hollywood's highest paid actor Adam Sandler (yep, really) both scripted and stars in this sometimes schmaltzy but kinda lovable comedy. He plays Sonny Koufax, a bone idle New Yorker who, in an effort to impress his exasperated girlfriend, illicitly adopts a five year old kid. His plan, of course, spectacularly backfires, and Sonny's left with the task of teaching the pasty-faced boy the ways of the world, except he's plainly incapable of this so instead teaches the unfortunate child all his own bad habits. Yes, it's predictable and a bit cheesey, but fans of Sandler won't be disappointed. Congratulations: Your vote has been cast
