Review
Set over only five days the film examines one London family, and in particular three sisters; the heavily pregnant Molly, good time party animal Debbie, who spends much of her time attempting to ignore the fact that she has an 11 year old son, and loveless, lonely Nadia. There is a documentary style to Wonderland that hightens the feeling that you are seeing something genuine, a real city populated by real people. The quality of performance is excellent and the dialogue thoughtful, broad and often wryly observed. Add to this a perfectly pitched score by Michael Nyman and you have a contemporary British drama of the highest order.
