Based on a true story we follow the desperate fight for survival by a small fishing vessel the Andrea Gail caught in a freak weather system which is the amalgamation of three gargantuan storms. Despite the starry cast this is a film that rests on its superlative special effects, sadly that's pretty much all it rests on.
