Earth has reached the end of its tether with humanity and is fast approaching meltdown, in a desperate attempt to save themselves the humans send an expedition to Mars in the hope of taming and colonising the red planet. Disaster strikes when the landing craft crash lands and the scientific crew are left stranded and without equipment, to compound matters their highly intelligent and agile robot has turned rogue. On the bright side Mars does appear hopeful as an alternative home, but will anyone get back alive to expound and expand on their remarkable findings? Red Planet is more a Sci-Fi drama with the odd thrill, though the special effects are impressive and the plot premise is a good one, it's let down by a slightly dim script.
