Foolhardy for the Japanese and, let's be honest, a bloody godsend for non-fascist Europe, there really can't be many people who don't know what 'Pearl Harbor' means in reference to WWII, but if you don't mind your history a bit dodgy, here's a three hour refresher course. A transparent attempt to recreate the success of 'Titanic', Pearl Harbour is a horrifically misjudged slab of epic cinema, lumbering, badly scripted and with acting to match, the only real survivors are the special effects and massive set pieces. As a wet Sunday afternoon movie it just about does the business, but that's not really a recommendation, is it?
