The inspiration for a number of films, in-particular 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' this is a rather more accurate account of the serial killer Ed Gein, a devoutly religious man living alone on the family farmstead after the death of his mother and choosing as his hobby the fortunately unconventional pastime of murdering young women and wearing their skin. Ed Gein is a disturbing psychological horror, perhaps given more weight by the knowledge that he really existed.
