Not even the infinitely watchable Kirsten Dunst could save this film from disaster. Much like the doomed production of A Midsummer's Night's Dream that the kids perform in the film, Get Over It claims to be funky and funny and modern but it's frankly just a bit boring. Dunst shines as always but the story and rest of the cast let her down. It's hardly believable that she is girl that NO ONE wants to be with and she is trying to win over the dorkiest guy in the movie. The whole high school/Shakespeare 'thing' has been run into the ground at this point so the fantasy sequences weren't anything new. Think 'Coyote Ugly' struggling songwriter, meets Jason Biggs in 'Loser' plus Stifler from 'American Pie' with an awful English accent and you have Get Over It. I say, get over it.
