Ed Norton is the Narrator, a socially inadequate white collar worker who frequents self-help groups for the terminally ill, despite being fit as a fiddle. After this particular avenue of pleasure is denied him, he meets Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt), who believes the point of life is to explore self-destruction and experience the pleasures of violence.

Yes it's our boy Grant again in an early remake of an even earlier film "The Front Page". When reluctant divorcee Grant is told that his ex-wife intends to quit his newspaper and re-marry, he gets her to work on one last story in a desperate attempt to win her back. Will he succeed? Hmm. Top stuff.

A tour de force with a stellar cast, events unfold over the period of just one day as a series of apparently random characters, from a game show host too an ex-boy genius, weave into each others lives through chance, circumstance and even divine intervention.
