When another set of horrific murders begin, linked by a killer's quest for redemption (each crime scene is linked by the words 'Save Me' found written in the victims' blood) Red and his team realise that they are out of their depth and will need help from someone outside the department who can understand the link between the murders. More of a descent into hell than a redemptive mission, the killer's crusade is poignantly selfish and damning.
