Coleman Silk is a highly respected member of his immediate society, a professor of Classics at the local college he would seem to be a man of unblemished repute, but Coleman has a secret nearly half a century old, and should it resurface it will destroy him. The Human Stain is a dark, brooding thriller, with a superlative cast.
