Washington plays an angel sent to earth to help a small-town preacher regain his faith but it seems he's far from Heaven sent when he can't help falling in love with the reverend's disillusioned wife (Houston). He's definitely going to need some divine intervention! Easy-watching romantic comedy. Not a patch on the most diverting original, The Bishop's Wife with Cary Grant.
