The Nightingale is a medical vessel that cruises the distant galaxies on constant standby for those in distress. Receiving a mayday the vessel is very nearly destroyed in the ensuing rescue, the only survivor a mysterious stranger and an alien artifact. The Nightingale's rescue turns out to be ill-advised and if they're not brutally murdered first, then an impending supernova may well finish the job. The special effects are great but the rest of Supernova is a bit of a sub-space porker.
