Brought to you by the producers of Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, this is another whack-job of a film. Poor Jimmy Livingston is allergic to the world so his social skill are...ahem...rather limited. His mother keeps him in his room, in a bubble, and home-schools him. He learns about everything except love, so when a hot blonde moves in next door he doesn't understand what he is feeling when he watches her out of the window. She befriends him, although he is obviously the neighbourhood loser, giving her points on the 'likeable girl' scale. But when Jimmy learns that she is going to New York he knows that he must get her back. He sets out on his own in a make-shift porta-bubble and meets various strangers on the way, including a 'happy' cult who kick him out of their bus (much to their later chagrin) and a motorcycle rebel who kindly gives him a lift. Much humour ensues...need we say more.
