Sheridan and Lewis team up once more in this rightly acclaimed story of the injustice suffered by the Guildford Four. Some liberties may well have been taken with Conlon and Hill's story, but it makes for riveting, gut-wrenching viewing. Absolutely brilliant dramatisation that should have won Oscars.

Pacino is superb as the oddball cop Frank Serpico, an idealist cop who stood out not just because of his odd dress sense, but because of his refusal to take bribes, something which made him very dangerous to his thieving corrupt workmates. A series of narrative twists make this excellent truth-based drama gripping viewing. A forerunner for the even better 'Prince of the City'.

Gripping dramatization of the goings on in the White House during the Cuban Missile Crisis, revealing how close the American military were to starting World War 3 after the Soviets responded to the placement of first strike nuclear weapons in Turkey by trying to place them in Cuba. As the world teetered on the nuclear brink a small number of White House aides fought off the majority view, and peace prevailed as Kennedy capitulated and agreed the withdrawal of US weapons from Turkey. Excellent.
