Constantine is a miserable, grim-faced curmudgeon, but then he can see the devil's army here on earth and it's his job to send them back (unpleasantly) if they transgress the rules laid down by God and Satan...so it's perhaps understandable that he's not too perky. Jean Reno returns as Inspector Niemans to investigate a series of brutal killings which seem to mimic the deaths of the twelve apostles. The occult, Nazis and the apocalypse - always a fun combination but this effort to follow up the success of 'Crimson Rivers' doesn't quite gel.
