Episode 3 is one of the weaker sketchs with a rather silly plot about a scab in a textiles factory getting killed. However Episode 4 is much stronger with corruption in the police force the core of the story. Which way will old-style police thug DCI Hunt swing, will he back up Simm or continue on the take? The series is now beginning to motor, the dialogue in this script is some of the smartest and the series is doing what it does at its best, parodying both 70s cop shows and the 70s themselves.

1. Luther, still plagued by the death of Zoe faces a serial killer wearing a Punch mask and tries to rescue an old acquaintance's daughter from the dangerous world of drugs and prostitution.
2. Luther must rescue Ripley before Cameron sets out his final murdering piece; schoolkids that are set to be dumped and gassed. Meanwhile, Jenny's ruthless and vengeful boss is demanding compensation for stealing her protege.

Allen returns to his less introspective film style of old. Keaton is his bored wife who becomes convinced that their neighbour has murdered his wife. Allen is persuaded to join the madcap chase for the truth. Superb dialogue, and very witty; for lovers of Cluedo-type parlour games and Agatha Christie fans.

A powerful thriller with an ingenious plot that leaves you piecing it together well after the end. Tom Farrell wins a plum job in the Pentagon only to find himself investigating a murder to which he was a witness and is a potential suspect. His mission becomes a quicksand of double bluffs, concealments, and attempts to sabotage the clues in order to avoid the Pentagon fingering him for the crime. A plot full of twists and surprises as he enters a race to clear himself. Excellent.
