SLITHER (2006)

Certification15 Our Rating

A slimy businessman turns into a gross food-binging fat piece of mutant tentacled squid when he is infested with a sluglike creature that fell from outer space. Henceforth slugs spew forth and turn into zombies all that they catch. This is an hilarious bit of fun, a great tribute to 50s sci fi movies, Cronenberg's Shivers, 80s gross-out movies and zombie flicks generally. Watch and enjoy. find out more...
THE FLY (1987)

Certification18 Our Rating

This deservedly popular shocker is a remake of the 1958 classic. A scientist accidentally fuses himself with a fly while attempting teleportation using himself as a guinea-pig. The special effects are superb. find out more...
THE MIST (2007)

Certification15 Our Rating

Following a violent thunderstorm, artist David Drayton and a small town community, all trapped in the local supermarket, come under vicious attack from creatures prowling in a thick and unnatural mist. Local rumours point to an army experiment gone awry at a nearby top-secret base, but as the locals break off into increasingly murderous factions the ravenous monsters are in danger of taking a back seat to the carnage. Mist is a superior adaptation of a Stephen King horror thanks in large part to find out more...

An isolated scientific research station in Antarctica is besieged from within (literally!) by an alien with the ability to take over any living organism. This inevitably leads to conflict and suspicion amongst the scientists. High suspense and excellent special effects make this a fine film. find out more...

An American scientific expedition stumbles across a long-buried UFO and it's extraterrestrial occupant in the ice of the North Pole. When they dig it up and take it back to their camp for study they unwittingly wake the creature from its hibernation. The original sci-fi paranoia trip based on the short story 'Who Goes There' by John W Campbell and later updated in glorious fashion by John Carpenter as 'the Thing'. A must for fans of the latter's ooze-fest. find out more...
THEM! (1954)

CertificationPG Our Rating

Giant, radioactive ants maraud across New Mexico decimating everything in their wake - what more could you ask for? One of the first and still one of the greatest creature features ever made. find out more...
TREMORS (1989)

Certification15 Our Rating

In an isolated spot in the Nevada desert people and cars start getting sucked down into the ground with little bits being regurgitated, so what's going on? It seems like mutant man-eating worms are on the loose. Vastly superior to the fifties B-movies of the same genre, highlights include a survivalist couple determined to put their cache of heavy weaponry to some use, and the visceral special effects......you can almost smell the decaying flesh! find out more...
