Four friends travel from Sydney for a weekend surfing trip. One is involved in a fight with a local man because he had sex with the man's daughter. The situation progressively grows darker. Everyone has to start somewhere and this was where Mel started. Plot is alright, the acting quality is variable, certainly John Jarrett, Steve Bisley (and Mel) have done better but I found the movie entertaining and watchable - just don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. find out more...

Set during the 1950s Joe is not your average drifter, intelligent, divisive, morally lacking and lusty. When Les hires him to work on his wife's barge, he has no idea what a liability he has invited into his home. The discovery of a girl's body in the water escalates an already tense and sexually charged environment and introduces the possibility of murder. Young Adam is adapted from Alexander Trocchi's beat novel, a powerful and sharply observed story, grimly gripping and finely acted. find out more...
