It's a post-apocalyptic world and only one man seems to retain his basic humanity, a belief he takes to the new battle field in a relentless struggle against the savagery and brutality which passes for law in the wastelands. The Last Battle was Luc Besson's first film and is a stylish, imaginative and almost wordless piece of cinema.
