Six teenage girls are on the cusp of adulthood, formed in no small part by the slightly dilapidated place of their birth, Margate. Using a mixture of DV footage and Super 8, Top Spot is a full-on confrontational depiction of that uneasy transition from childhood and an intriguing addition to the canon of Tracey Emin's autobiographical artistic work.
