Mixing Roman history with ancient British mythology, "The Last Legion" takes place as the Roman empire is crumbling and the Emperor Romulus is fleeing for his life across Britannia, where his fate depends on an enigmatic Byzantine warrior and a mythical sword called Excalibur. Despite the presence of veterans like Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley "The Last Legion" is let down by some very shoddy production, when the battlements of a Roman stronghold look like they are made of MDF and poster paint it makes it difficult to take the action seriously, that said, kids will probably love it.
