The legend of Beowulf, the bravest of the brave, a fearless warrior of such skill that his name has become myth. When Beowulf is called by the king of the Viking lands to rid the people of the monster Grendel our hero duly obliges, but even he may be no match for Grendel's lethal, temptress of a mother. I have one small question...why!? I'm sure 'performance capture' computer imagery is the future of movies, but frankly it still needs quite a bit of work, the humans are plastic characterless creations, their movements stilted and clunky and to put together a po-faced script that perfectly reflects this is not the way forward. A great cast bizarrely deprived of their acting skills and a hideous rendering of historic myth.
