Bridges is yet again a tour-de-force as the hard drinking serially divorced ex-C&W star 'Bad', who now makes a living playing low-life Midwestern saloons. Enter a woman and a career break and give us the redemption song.
Three of the stars, Bridges, Farrell and Duval, do their own singing in the film and the rest of the soundtrack is provided by established stars in this fictional musical biopic loosely based on the characters of C&W singers Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson and Merle Haggard. A must watch.
