In the mid-70s FM, chart friendly rock ruled the airwaves. Progressive rock and super-groups with loadsa equipment reigned and technical ability was valued above all...then along came The Pistols. The NY club scene, reggae and the British punk scene got popular music back off the tracks. Ace.
