Peculiar black comedy thriller, actually a remake of a Norwegian film, with Harvey Keitel as a judge who, highly improbably, has recently married pretty, petty crook Cameron Diaz. Holidaying on the remote island where she grew up, with handyman Craig Sheffer the only other inhabitant, the happy couple are disturbed by the sudden appearance of a very shifty Billy Zane, the bride's ex-squeeze and the rotter who led her astray in the first place. Meanwhile, butter-wouldn't -melt-in-his-mouth Sheffer is still lurking spookily in the background. When Zane wakes up dead, so to speak, it's time for suspicious sideways squints all round.
