Interesting darkly comic drama in which two bitterly inadequate stuffed suits hatch a plan to take revenge on womankind. Yes, they've both had their over-sized egos severely dented by being dumped, no less. Relocating to a new city, the plan is to find a vulnerable woman, sweep her off her feet until she falls in love with them, then run off as fast as their little legs will carry them. (Nothing new there, then.) Deciding on a beautiful, deaf typist as their victim, everything's going swimmingly until the pair of prats realise that, uh-oh, they actually like the poor girl. Which, happily, causes large cracks to appear in their own friendship. Compulsive and sharply-scripted.
