The wretchedly grotesque Quasimodo is brilliantly portrayed by Charles Laughton in this moving interpretation of Victor Hugo's tragic novel. Beautifully and atmospherically shot in black and white, this is a technical masterpiece of it's time which perfectly captures the mood of medieval Paris.
