A lavish Hollywood remake of "The Gay Senorita", this 1942 musical (scored by Jerome Kern) marked the second and, unfortunately, last partnering of Fred Astaire and Rita Hayworth. Set in Buenos Aires we follow the romance between an out of favour dancer and a wealthy young Argentinean debutante, much to the disapproval of her wary father.
